It’s Friday, which means there’s a load of new music to feast your ears on. Here’s a round up of the best new releases and information on where you can see these songs performed live very soon!

Anne Marie – Therapy

Therapy, released today, is the official follow-up to Anne-Marie’s multi-platinum and four million-selling 2018 debut, Speak Your Mind [the UK’s biggest-selling debut release of that year]. An artist whose everywoman candour and knock-you-down vocal range has reverberated across the globe, the new album is a collection of songs that embody Anne-Marie’s characterful artistry, self-effacing attitude and beautiful honesty; attributes that have not only catapulted the Essex-born to platinum status in the UK to the USA and everywhere in-between, but ones that have seen her reign supreme as a fearless Gen Z role model.

Against The Current – Fever EP

Fueled By Ramen recording artist Against The Current have unveiled their new EP fever, available now on all streaming services. The seven-track collection marks the first new body of work since the group’s 2018 album Past Lives, and is heralded by an official music video for ‘jump’, which is streaming now on Against The Current’s official YouTube channel. In celebration of the release, the trio have also announced a run of U.S. and European headline tour dates, kicking off this September.

Elaborating on the EP, Costanza commented, “In some ways, this is a debut. We have so many inspirations from the past, but we merged those with what currently inspires us to create something new. We finally figured it out. You can burn down the past version of yourself and become who you think you are now. This is undeniably Against The Current.”

Connie Constance – Prim & Propa

Connie Constance is anything but ‘Prim & Propa’ with her anthemic latest single that delights in defying expectations and flipping the pop script. Following her infectious, indie-driven single ‘Electric Girl’, an ode to unshakeable female strength, ‘Prim & Propa’ is the pop provocateur’s next statement about daring to shrug off suffocating expectations, putting on your best shoes and dancing all night. The Watford-hailing artist believes that the new single, produced by Karma Kid, is one of her favourite songs she’s ever written:

“This song is about owning community culture, family and friendship. It’s about looking at that big white house and the perfect grass and saying ‘Yeah, nah, not for me, mate – not without my people enjoying it with me’. It’s an anthem for everyone that feels betrayed and let down by this country. It’s for the single parents, the people that work their arses off every single day and can barely get their head above water. It’s a reminder that we’ve got what’s important right here with us: ‘When you want more then look around, if you’ve got love you know you’re good / Cause when the grass is greener, the people are meaner.”

Lorde – Stoned at the Nail Salon

GRAMMY® and BRIT Award-winning multi-platinum artist LORDE has released her new song ‘Stoned at the Nail Salon’. The song is the second track from Lorde’s highly anticipated third studio album, Solar Power, which will be released via Universal Music New Zealand / EMI Records on August 20th.

Of the song Lorde says, “This song is sort of a rumination on getting older, settling into domesticity, and questioning if you’ve made the right decisions. I think lots of people start asking those questions of themselves around my age, and it was super comforting to me writing them down, hoping they’d resonate with others too. I used this song as a dumping ground for so many thoughts…”

Dropping ahead of his long-awaited live return at Tramlines and Standon Calling Festivals, ‘Downtown’ exemplifies Jake Bugg’s newfound ego-less approach to writing.
