With some exciting releases ahead, the end of 2022 and beginning of 2023 is looking up to be a busy time for new music. With a mix of pop, rock and indie the race to #1 is harder than ever.

We’ve created a timeline of upcoming music releases so you won’t miss a thing…

 

Friday 25th November 2022

This Is What I Mean (Album) – Stormzy

Stormzy’s third album, This Is What I Mean, is due for release on the 25th November. Having first announced his upcoming album on his Heavy Is The Head Tour via a behind the scenes video of the recording process, Stormzy gave exclusive access to fans to pre-order the album from the merch stands. This album is set to branch away from the grime genre that Stormzy is famously known for, but instead a “reflection of growth” for Stormzy. The tracks ‘Hide & Seek’ and ‘Firebabe’ were released earlier this year as part of the album featuring artists Sampha, Jacob Collier and Debbie.

 

As Heard On Radio Soulwax pt.2 THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY REISSUE – 2manydjs

Electronic band 2manydjs have announced the reissued release of As Heard On Radio Soulwax pt.2, as part of its 20th anniversary. The album will be reissued for vinyl, CD and for the first time on digital platforms. To celebrate its release, 2manydjs have announced a ‘As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt.2 Anniversary Party’. The event will be held in the O2 Academy Brixton on the 17th December. Tickets for the anniversary party are available now!

Aloha Soul (EP) – Eli Smart

Rising star, Eli Smart has announced his new EP Aloha Soul will be released on the 25th November. Eli released the first single to the EP ‘See Through’ in October, the feel-good song has a summer feel to it, perfectly fitting to the EP title Aloha Soul. Having moved to the UK from Hawaii, the islands influence in Eli Smarts music is evident. Earlier this year, Eli performed at Neighbourhood Festival in Manchester and supported Cassia on their UK tour.

Marry Me (Album) – Olly Murs

Olly Murs has announced his new album Marry Me set for release this December. The ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ singer began his career after competing on the X Factor, today his credits include 6 multi-platinum albums, 4 #1 UK albums, 4 #1 UK singles, 6 million Spotify monthly listeners, 800 million YouTube views and 1.8 million tour tickets sold. Gloria (Album) – Sam Smith

Sam Smith has announced their 4th studio album due for release on the 27th January 2023. Having released their #1 hit and Grammy nominated track ‘Unholy’ featuring Kim Petras earlier this year, the song is the second single from the upcoming album titled Gloria. Sam has also announced the ‘Gloria’ tour where they will be performing in arenas around the UK in April and May next year. Buy tickets now!

My 21st Century Blues. (Album) – Raye

Raye’s highly anticipated debut studio album, My 21st Century Blues will be released on Friday 3rd February 2023. Raye rose to fame when she featured on the singles; “By Your Side” by Jonas Blue and “You Don’t Know Me” by Jax Jones. Her hit single ‘Secrets’ has over 350 million Spotify streams. This Is Why (Album) – Paramore

American rock band Paramore released their single ‘This Is Why’ in September 2022, the track is from their upcoming album of the same name. The single has already received over 22 million Spotify streams. The full album is expected to be released on the 10th February 2023.

The Grammy-award winning band have also announced a ‘This Is Why’ world tour, with most UK dates having sold out, get the last few tickets now.

Cuts & Bruises (Album) – Inhaler

Dublin quartet, Inhaler have been one of the biggest breakthrough bands of the past decade. With hits from their 2021 album including ‘It Won’t Always Be Like This’ and ‘My Honest Face’, the band have announced their upcoming album Cuts & Bruises will be released on the 17th February 2023. The band will also be embarking on their headline world tour before joining the Arctic Monkeys as support on their European Tour. Tickets for Inhalers headline tour are available now.

Amelia (Album) – Mimi Webb

Pop singer-songwriter Mimi Webb is set to release her debut album Amelia on the 3rd March 2023. In 2021, Mimi Webb released her debut EP Seven Shades Of Heartbreak which included hits such as ‘House On Fire’ and ‘Good Without’. Is This What It Feels Like To Feel Like This (EP) – The Wombats

The Wombats recently released their new EP, Is This What It Feels Like To Feel Like This. The band have said that this EP is a new era of their music, after releasing their #1 album in January 2022 Fix Yourself, Not The World. Sonder (Album) – Dermot Kennedy

Dermot Kennedy’s long anticipated second album has finally been released. As Dermot Kennedy embarks on the next chapter of his musical journey with his new album, Sonder he admits he’s never related to a word more. Sonder, the term coined in the book The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, is summarized as, “the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.”  Dermot released the track ‘Innocence and Sadness’ from the upcoming album earlier in October. He has also announced that in 2023 he will be embarking on his biggest UK tour to date.
