Watch Ennio Morricone’s Orchestra Perform ‘The Ecstasy of Gold’

This week the world mourns the loss of legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone, whose haunting scores helped define the ‘spaghetti western’ era of iconic cinema.

Morricone’s timeless, visionary scores brought joy to cinema lovers worldwide, with credits including ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly’, ‘The Untouchables’, ‘Cinema Paradiso’, ‘The Mission’ and ‘The Hateful Eight’.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte tweeted: “We will always remember, with infinite gratitude, the artistic genius of the Maestro #EnnioMorricone. It made us dream, feel excited, reflect, writing memorable notes that will remain indelible in the history of music and cinema.”
