A star-studded lineup featuring Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Christine and the Queens and more are set for ‘Global Goal: Unite for Our Future’ this weekend.
The campaign was recently announced by Global Citizen and the European Commission, with the aim to support marginalised communities affected by the coronavirus crisis and help to provide wider access to COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines in the future.
Justin Bieber, Quavo, Shakira, Jenifer Hudson, Usher, Chloe X Halle, J Balvin and Yemi Alade will also perform at the benefit concert, which takes place on Saturday June 27th. You can livestream the event via Twitter, Twitch and YouTube at 7pm BST below:
In a statement announcing her participation in the event, Cyrus said: “This moment requires all of us to act. As Global Citizens, we’re calling on leaders around the world to combat the disproportionate impact COVID-19 has on marginalised communities by committing funds to develop and deliver tests, treatments, and therapeutics.
“Because of this global effort, we will be more able to ensure that everyone, everywhere has access to COVID-19 testing and treatment, regardless of their income or where they live.”
We’re so excited to share this concert with you 💞
