Justin Vernon debuted a brand new track from Bon Iver titled “Things Behind Things Behind Things” during a Bernie Sanders virtual Town Hall stream on Saturday. Check it out below.
The track, which features Vernon’s signature laidback electric guitar sound, includes the lyrics ““I don’t like the way it’s looking/ I can’t go through the motions/ How am I supposed to do this now / I am afraid, of changing/ The way I look back makes me a competitor/ There are things behind things behind things.”
Vernon also performed a number of other songs from his home, including “Towers”, “Blood Bank,” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “With God on Our Side.”
Bon Iver’s upcoming European tour with Aaron Dessner’s 37do3d Machine was due to take place this month, but the ongoing coronavirus pandemic forced them to postpone until 2021. The rescheduled date at Manchester Arena will now take place on January 10th 2021.
