Liverpudlian four-piece Circa Waves have announced the very first Circa Fest! Taking place on the final date of their extensive UK headline tour, they’re definitely going out in style on this one.
On 4th April 2020, what was once simply a hometown show at Liverpoolโs Guild of Students has now become a huge 3-venue performance across the city, featuring three sets from the indie rockers.
The day will start at 1:30 at Zanzibar. where they’ll be joined by Pizzagirl, Haarm, Children of The State, and Abby Meysenberg. Then they’ll move onto the original Liverpool Uni show at 6:30 with support from Spinn and Red Rum Club. Finally, they’ll close off the night with a DJ set at Jimmy’s at 11pm, featuring Zuzu, The Mysterines and more special guests…
Please note it’s first come first serve for Jimmy’s and Zanzibar, and everyone with Liverpool Uni tickets have access to all 3 venues!
Been keeping this one under wraps for a while. Here is the first ever CIRCAFEST! Proudly repping an all Liverpool line up in the legendary @thezanzibarliv, Mountford Hall and then to @JimmysLiverpool for the after party. https://t.co/dvdNzEP9In pic.twitter.com/YRqMSxlumw

Circa Waves have just released the first half of their double album Sad Happy, featuring lead single ‘Jacqueline’; an infectious, Soweto flavoured groove that explores the theme of single motherhood in modern Britain. Fans will find songs like the anthemic โMove to San Franciscoโ and โBe Your Drugโ just the kind of guitar-led sunshine pop rock they fell in love with five years ago. The final installment Sadย is also due for release on 13th March.
