Britain’s premier music tastemaker Annie Mac has announced the return of AMP LONDON, bringing the best new talent in music from a variety of genres to the capital’s most loved music venues. We caught up with North London’s rising multi-instrumentalist BenjiFlow to find out what you can expect from his set…
What’s your fondest memory of playing in London?
My headline show was the fondest moment, everyone in that room singing the lyrics with so much passion, priceless
Who are you looking forward to catching at AMP?
Miraa May
What was your highlight of 2019?
Travelling to play my songs, seeing which countries really mess with me so far, have to say Amsterdam had it for me
Do you have any new year’s resolutions? Do you usually stick to them?
Yes, no fast food for the year, no alcohol till August! I always stick to them due to me being a serious g.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever put on a rider?
I’m not a wild guy with the riders… I accommodate for everyone else so I don’t mind
What can we expect from your set?
Energy.
What’s your favourite thing about London?
How close the corner shops are! Also how close I can get different types of food
What artist would you love to collaborate with?
I’m not really fussed, just living in the moment and if it happens with anyone, God willing it will be greats
Any advice for any younger musicians who want to play something like AMP one day?
Just try and make good music, everything else comes after… It’s hard to see now but when it’s done and it’s out, people will gravitate towards it
What can we expect from your show at AMP London?
Greatness
will play at XOYO on Wednesday 4th March
