Record Store Day is definitely one of our favourite days of the year so we picked out what exclusive releases we’re looking forward to picking up on 13th April!

a-ha – Hunting High And Low / The Earlier Alternate Mixes

Hunting High and Low is *** a-ha’s debut album, and for its 30th anniversary in 2015, they released this deluxe copy. Featuring remastered versions of these *** classics. The original 1985 album was an intentional hit, topping charts in the band’s native home of Norway, and is now certified triple Platinum in the UK.

  • Broken Social Scene – Let’s Try The After

  • LP, Album

This is Canadian indie rockers Broken Social Scene’s latest EP, split into two issues. Let’s Try The After volume 1 was released in February, with volume 2 following just two weeks ago, both which including five new atmospheric and uplifting tracks each.

  • Mumford & Sons – Delta Acoustic Sessions – Live From the Electric Lady

Recordings of Mumford & Sons’ acoustic session at New York’s Electric Lady studios have been sought after ever since they entered the studio. The band recorded stripped-back versions of four tracks taken from their 2018 album Delta. With only one of the four tracks available online (‘Guiding Light’), this is the perfect purchase for any Mumford fan who wants to hear ‘Woman’, ‘Wild Heart’ and ‘If I Say’ take on that same intimate sound.

  • The Kooks – Live At The Moth Club

On 5th September 2018, indie four-piece The Kooks celebrated the release of their fifth album Let’s Go Sunshine by performing an intimate gig at London’s iconic Moth Club. The setlist of the sold out show featured their most popular hits such as ‘Naive’ as well as premiered brand new material to this exclusive audience.

  • Weezer – Teal

Teal is the twelfth album from alt rock group Weezer, comprising of ten covers of hit songs from across a range of genres such as ‘Africa’ (Toto), ‘Paranoid’ (Black Sabbath) and ‘Billie Jean’ (Michael Jackson). Going with Weezer’s colour theme, the album is actually self-titled but has been nicknamed after its colour. For RSD you can get your hands on this exclusive teal vinyl!

 

  • Weezer – Dusty Gems and Raw Nuggets: The B-Sides

  • Translucent Blue & White Swirl LP

This is the first ever vinyl pressing of Weezer’s 1994 debut album known as Blue, including deluxe bonus tracks such as B-sides, rarities, demos and an alternative mix of ‘Say It Ain’t So’. Blue is one of the most well-known Weezer albums, featuring hit songs ‘Buddy Holly’, ‘My Name Is Jonas’ and ‘Undone – The Sweater Song’.
