David Bowie will always be remembered as one of the greatest musicians to ever live. With a career spanning nearly 50 years, during which he took on multiple persona’s including the famous Ziggy Stardust, and released legendary songs such as ‘Space Oddity’, ‘Life on Mars’, ‘Starman’, ‘Heroes’ and ‘Let’s Dance’ (to only name a few). He will always be the main representation of glam rock, with a talent to evolve as the music industry also evolved.

A CD/DVD of his legendary Glastonbury performance from 2000 has just been released. Titled ‘Bowie: Glastonbury 2000’, it documents his headline performance from the 25th June in full, of which only 30 minutes has been broadcast on TV. The package also includes a 2 CD format of his greatest hits and images of Bowie from his performances.

In honor of ‘Bowie: Glastonbury 2000’ being released, Mike Garson- who was part of David Bowie’s backing band ‘The Spiders From Mars’ in the early/mid 70’s and then continued to work with Bowie throughout his career- posted to Facebook a very moving tribute of his memories from that special performance (see below).

Mike Garson will also be part of ‘A Bowie Celebration: The David Bowie Alumni Tour’, which will be coming to Manchester, London and Birmingham in January 2019. The show features key alumni musicians from different periods of Bowie’s career, who will all come together to perform much-loved Bowie favourites that fans will not be able to help but sing and dance along to.

If you want to be part of this incredible celebration in keeping Bowie’s legacy alive, then tickets are still available from: http://gigst.rs/mXmXYh
