Pale Waves, indie-pop/rock with goth aesthetic, they are an incredibly tantalising band still very fresh within the industry.
They have just released their debut album ‘My Mind Makes Noises’, which has received a very impressive 4/5 stars from NME, with reviewer Thomas Smith describing the album as ‘the perfect record to summarise the band’s rise from Manchester’s little secret to one of the most adored new bands in the country’.
Matty Healy (The 1975) declared that he needed to work with them after hearing their music and has since become their biggest member, producing their first few songs and introducing them to the world as ‘your new favourite band’.
Frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie cites 1980’s artists such as Prince and Madonna as influences, as well as Robert Smith’s legendary gothic rock band, The Cure.
‘I really love listening to things where people tell a story, and you can tell their singing the truth and they mean it’, she says (Billboard 2017 interview).
Pale Waves are now getting set to go on a huge UK tour this month, bringing along their shiny new album as well as Pale Waves classics ‘There’s A Honey’ and ‘Television Romance’ to fans old and new. Their energetic, sparkling on-stage presence will capture your attention and their music will simultaneously make you dance and cry.
Their Manchester show is already sold-out, but tickets are still available for the rest of their dates. So if you don’t want to miss out on seeing ‘your new favourite band’, make sure you grab tickets before they go.
