Ahead of their UK tour which kicks off at London o2 Islington Academy next Tuesday, we caught up with the Irish boyband…

What are you up to at this very moment?

Preparing for our first UK Headline Tour!

What can fans expect to experience at one of your shows?

A lot of energy! A couple of laughs and hopefully a sing along.

What is your favourite song to perform live?
We enjoy “Live Your Life” as it’s a very energetic song and we love going all out for it.

When you’re not performing what do you do to keep yourself busy when you’re on tour / on the road?
We are usually trying to come up with new songs constantly but also take time to enjoy the journey we are on.

You’ve played a lot of great festivals year, which was the best so far?
They’ve all been pretty amazing but we look forward to the UK festivals as we are still quite a new unheard of band over there so it will be nice to win over some new fans.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever played?
We’ve had the pleasure of playing some amazing venues and shows. From huge festivals to the 02 Arena but for us it would have to be our own Headline show we played in our hometown in the Olympia. It was just so special.

What was the first gig you ever went to?
I actually cannot remember haha! It was in a summer where i attended an awful lot of amazing shows! I just can’t remember which was first.
Will you be playing any new material or a mixture of your back catalogue?
For the tour we will be doing most of our material from our album “This Life” and hope to implement the newer stuff at the end of the year into our set. It will be awhile but worth the wait.
Which other artists are you listening to at the moment?
Everyone from Jake Bugg to J.Cole and everything in between.

Which song do you wish you had written?
Well apparently the “Happy Birthday” song is the most popular song in the world so we’d take that haha! But honestly something like John Lennon’s “Imagine” or Bob Dylan’s “Make You feel My Love” would be up there!

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

There’s a huge list of names we’d love to collaborate with, some of them you expect but others you wouldn’t. If the opportunity every came up we’d love to really play with the idea and do something unexpected.

Plans for the rest of the year?

We hope to finish of this year playing our live shows around the UK and Ireland and also all the amazing festivals. In between all that we are recording our next project which will be out early next year. But for now its gig gig gig!
