We managed to pin the boys down for a quick chat ahead of their highly anticipated UK tour which kicks off at Oxford O2 Academy2 on Tuesday 9th October…

What are you up to at this very moment?
NN – right now? Just got back from the gym and meeting agent Boss Dodd, getting a routine together for this October UK tour, we’re preparing a lot for that at the moment – the support on its own is massive; we got True Tiger with a full live band opening, and trap-don UZ supporting, no-one knows who this guy is.. not even his management are telling us.

What can fans expect to experience at one of your shows?
NN – just 140bpm dubstep.. joke.. all types of music.. the show is a journey through all our influences over the years from hip-hop, grime, electro, DnB, even some metal thrown in there. Its Movement music…with raps.

What is your favourite song to perform live?
NN -At the moment UZ – Goon Bags remix, just cause the drop is so unexpected compared to everything else in the set, and I love seeing the different reactions of people! Can’t wait to do that shit in the States.

When you’re not performing what do you do to keep yourself busy when you’re on tour / on the road?
NN – It’s non-stop between touring, studio, recording, organising the business aspects, meetings, show preparations, then there’s the side projects which we’re involved in, then there’s the basic shit which you get a couple days at home to take care of- washing your clothes, bills and doing all the household stuff, which when you haven’t got a wife or a maid is a lot. It varies week to week… and Game of Thrones.

You’ve played a lot of great festivals this year, which was the best so far?
NN – Impossible to say though the ones that stand out are one in France which I’m damned if I can remember the name cause we do a lot of festivals out there,  HipHop Kemp when we played between Madlib and Beat Junkies, which was special cause we’re all big fans- I bought all of their  records for like 10 years. Strasbourg with Skrill earlier in the year was amazing too.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever played?
OV – Man there’s been some pretty amazing ones, Fabric always!! Dour festival 2012, Hip Hop Kemp all 3 times we played have been insane, Glastonbury, Los Angeles, Poland, Italy, SPAIN SPAIN, Origin Perth… damn there are so many we’re kinda lucky.

What was the first gig you ever went to?
NN – MC Hammer and Snap with my dad is the first ‘rap’ show I remember going to when I was 13.
OV – Bryan Adams, ZZ TOP, Thunder 1990 Milton Keynes bowl age 10.

Will you be playing any new material or a mixture of your back catalogue?
NN – It’s always a mix of all styles, we’ve been doing that from the start. For The Uprising tour we’re gonna be throwing a grip of new album material in the show, most of which we’ve never performed in the UK.
Gonna be revisiting a lot of the older stuff as well.

Which other artists are you listening to at the moment?
NN – oo.. Deft, Eprom, a lot of trap from CRNKN, Baauer, Raf Riley, Cid Rim, Preditah, London Zoo, Riff Raff, and Piff Gang and Big KRIT, at the moment…

Which song do you wish you had written?
Beat It – Dirty Diana

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Wow such a massive question, right now, would like to make some shit with Schoolboy Q maybe Lex Luger, Flying Lotus, Doom.

Plans for the rest of the year?
Drop The album, there are a bunch of collaborations in the pipeline as well, a lot of touring, UK USA, EUROPE AUSTRALIA and INDIA.
