British five-piece, Toy are readying themselves for what seems like a pivotal few months ahead which will also include their self-titled debut album release in early September.
There’s been a slow-burning hype about the band as they first surfaced in the demise of NME favourites, Joe Lean and The Jing Jang Jong. With some ex-members of The Jing Jang Jong on board, the band spent time developing their sound. Time which has clearly been very well spent as the band have managed to stamp their name all over ever track they’ve released so far with a sound which draws from external influences but is very much the band’s own.
After introducing themselves to the public on a slew of summer festival appearances, and stints at Reading and Leeds still to come, Toy are perfectly poised to flourish on the live scene.
October sees the five-some on their first full headline tour as they take their unique sound to every corner of the UK.
