If your summer has been left without the warming sounds of The Overtones, you are in for a treat and just in time to catch them on their full UK and Ireland tour which commences in November.
The Overtones are having a very successful 2012 after playing to one of their biggest ever audiences of a staggering 250,000 people at The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration as well as their appearance at an Olympics show in Hyde Park. It’s hard to believe that only two years ago the group were unsigned and struggling to make ends meet so they could pursue their singing dreams.
Their debut album ‘Good Ol’ Fashioned Love’ set a solid foundation for the group’s success allowing them time to explore their artistic ideas while still providing a consistent introduction to their vocal mastery. They’ve developed strongly through their second release , Higher which keeps the uplifting soul sounds that have now become synonymous with the band while also mixing in more modern pop elements. A refreshing group that bring back the best of the past fused with prime pop cuts.
