Bloc Party return with "Four" and a new Tour!

Share:

Its been a long wait for some fresh Bloc Party since their last critically acclaimed release, “Intimacy” which came to us all the way back in 2008 and the anticipation is certainly growing for the release of “Four” on August 20th on Frenchkiss Records.

The band have been on quite a journey since their previous release. Lead singer, Kele Okereke found success with his solo project which showcased a more dance-orientated direction for the performer as he gave us tracks like the insanely catchy “Tenderoni” and the heartfelt “Everything You Wanted”

Kele has since left his solo project to the side to return as the energetic front man of Bloc Party after an extended hiatus which will surely come as a relief to Bloc Party’s legion of fans amid rumours last year that Kele would not be re-joining the band.

The new album is sure to continue the pioneering reputation the band have built for themselves since they exploded into public consciousness all the way back in 2005 with their album Silent Alarm which was also crowned “Album of The Year” by NME. Check out our favourite track from Silent Alarm below:

Anyone who has seen Bloc Party live in the past will surely testify that it is a spectacle not to be missed. With such a strong back catalogue of hits already, the new matierial is already sitting along side a wealth of stand alone tracks making these new dates potentially their most explosive to date!
