It’s approaching that time of year again, when we don our wellies in a muddy field and watch our favourite bands take to the stage in a festival of music. Yes, Summer is not too far away and that only means one thing: the return of the legendary V Festival.
V festival will run from the 20th to 21st August with an identical bill playing at Chelmsford and Staffordshire respectively. Artists from Britan and the rest of the world will come together to entertain the crowds in a musical extravaganza that is bound to be one to remember with the most eclectic bill yet. For our viewing and listening pleasure we will be treated to music from the likes of: Primal Scream; The Script; Manic Street Preachers; Pendulum; Duran Duran; Chase and Status; Tinie Tempah; The Courteneers; Bruno Mars; Ellie Goulding; Jessie J; N-Dubz; Big Audio Dynamite; Hurts; Squeeze; Katy B; Wiz Khalifa; Ocean Colour Scene and many many more!
“V Festival was our first ever UK show three years ago. It was a baptism of fire but we survived it. We love to play V; it’s a real party for both festival goers and bands. We can’t wait for it.” Danny O’donoghue, The Script.
Originally masterminded in 1996 by Pulp’s frontman Jarvis Cocker, V festival is now one of the longest-running and hugely respected UK festivals. The festival is bigger and better than ever, with entertainment from your favourite artists as well as comedians. And for those of you averse to camping, both Weston and Hylands offer luxury camping with ready built Pod Pads, Cloud Yurts, Hearthworks Tipi’s and pop-up hotel rooms – and you don’t have to lift a finger as it’s all built for you on arrival whilst you relax in the bar or treat yourself in the spa. Toilets and showers are also provided, with beauty rooms to ensure that you are kept preened and powdered. Who said festival-goers had to rough it eh? You certainly won’t be missing the usual slumming it in a campsite once you’ve done it in style!
So get yourselves excited by listening to a few of the artist that will be performing at the show-stopping festival, and August will be here before you know it!
