These hairy guys with their gritty accoustic and bluesy sound hail from Glasgow, and are set to become your new favourite band when they embark on their tour in April. They are an all-singing, all-guitar-strumming four-piece comprising of Barry James, Lewis Andrew, Hamish Fingland and Chris Potter.
Kassidy have gigged up and down the country over the last couple of years and put in a storming live performance at T in the Park last summer, which I was fortunate enough to see. With their long flowing locks, rugged good looks and soothing harmonies, it is easy to see why 90% of the crowd is female. And for you guys out there who are skeptical to a band who share vocals on infectious choruses, imaculate harmonies and only play guitars, I can guarantee they are not a boyband like Mcfly or Busted. Surely a crowd filled with lots of girls is a good enough excuse for you single boys to get down to their gig anyway!
They are a young band who have recently released their second EP ‘The Rubbergum Volume 2’ and are currently recording their debut album due for release this year. These boys have a bright future ahead, so get yourself acquaintanced with their stripped-back retro sound, and make sure not to miss out on a seriously good gig when they travel south of the border.
