If you don’t know Joe Brooks then you soon will. Joe is the online sensation who sold out his first two UK tours as an unsigned artist.
Now signed to Island Records, he’s on track to sell out his third. His London show has already sold out, 2 months early. The rising star took some time out of his American tour to answer some questions…..
So Joe are you up to at this moment?
At this very moment I’m on tour but have the day off sat on the porch at my managers house in the most beautiful little town… no travelling, no loading in, no sound checking, no promo, no show and no meetings… after 30 shows almost back to back this day is welcomed πŸ™‚

You’re touring in November what can the audience expect?
Craziness. A whole range of new songs, old songs, covers, ballads, and good ol’ rock n roll. it’s gonna be sick…

What is your favourite song to perform live?
It changes each tour, I’m looking forward to performing one of my new songs called ‘Green Eyes’ that 99% of the audience won’t have heard!

Who has released a stand out album this year?
Laura Marling – ‘I speak because I can’

Which song do you wish you had written?
Sia – ‘Soon we’ll be found’
Any surprises in the pipeline for your UK performances?
whip cream and nudity… juuuust kidding, but you never know πŸ˜‰

Plans for the rest of the year?
I have a Christmas special show in my hometown (Southampton) on the 23rd Dec. with the 3 wisemen on the horns… it’s gonna be killer πŸ˜€ Then xmas with the family!!! woop.

If you were to send someone to prison for crimes against music, who would it be?
I don’t like to hate πŸ™‚

Whats your favourite animal and why?
Penguins… just cos. they’re pretty cool.

If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?
Invisibility.

What were you doing last night at 11?
I had just come off stage at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City after opening for Parachute, it was a pretty special night πŸ™‚
Previously the #1 artist on the MySpace UK (unsigned) Chart for nearly one year, Joe released his major label debut album in the UK last month through iTunes and Play.com. If the accolades don’t speak for themselves, seeing Joe live will…Joe Brooks starts his tour at London Borderline on Monday 22nd November and ends at Newcastle O2 Academy2 on Monday 29th.
