Manchester’s own Children of Zeus have had their debut album ‘Travel Light’ nominated for Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards! Released in July, ‘Travel Light’ has received incredible reviews from critics so far, including an 8/10 rating from Line of Best Fit, and has been featured on Bandcamp’s ‘Best Albums of 2018’.
Now, the public have their chance to vote for ‘Travel Light’ to win the ‘Album of the Year’ in the Worldwide Awards, which was founded by renowned and respected Radio 6 presenter and international DJ, Gilles Peterson.
‘Travel Light’ combines both hip-hop and soul with rapping and singing, a decision which is what distinguishes Children of Zeus from other acts and putting the focus of attention more onto them. Highlights from the album include the single ‘Slow Down’, which was number 20 on Complex UK’s ‘Best Songs of 2018’.
Other artists who have received nominations include Childish Gambino, Anderson Paak and Jorja Smith, for Track of the Year.
