Natty Releases New Version of ‘Coloured Souls’

This August marks ten years since the release of reggae-soul sensation Natty’s iconic debut album Man Like I. To celebrate its anniversary, the London-raised artist along with his band The Rebelship has been working on a limited edition double vinyl titled Man Like I and I…X. It will feature remastered versions of these old classics, as well as alternative covers of fan favourites featuring the likes of Seun Kuti and Benjamin Zephaniah, due to be released in September.

Today he released the first single from this remastered album – with an added twist of fellow reggae fusion artist Maverick Sabre’s accompanying vocals. The original multi-layered reggae-soul track is still as beautiful as ever, complimented by Sabre’s contemporary voice which takes the lead. With changes in guitar melodies here and there, as well added off-the-beat percussion and sections rearranged, Natty’s style has noticeably matured in these ten years.

To also celebrate Man Like I‘s anniversary, Natty will also be taking the album on tour this November as he performs it in full for the first time ever. For tickets and further information click here!
